In October of 2020, MyAgentFinder was rebranded as part of the Home & Money network. Its portfolio of complementary services includes a home valuation calculator, a mortgage lender matching tool, and an agent matching site for short-sale specialists.
A MyAgentFinder representative told us the company only matches customers with “top performers” — i.e., agents who are in the top 1% in terms of sales volume in their respective markets.

MyAgentFinder’s service is pretty simple: the company gathers some information about your situation and preferences, then matches you with its partner agents in your area that most closely match that criteria. Here’s a quick overview of what to expect:
First, You’ll enter some basic details about your sale or purchase on the MyAgentFinder website — e.g., location, timeline, price range, etc. Within a few minutes, MyAgentFinder will reach out via text to confirm your phone number.

If you don’t provide a cell phone number, you won’t get any further communication from MyAgentFinder. They exclusively communicate via text message from this point on in the process.
After you confirm your number, MyAgentFinder searches its network for local agents that seem like a good fit for your situation. Within a few hours, you’ll receive intros to your agent matches via text. Most customers get two agent matches.
The agents will likely start to reach out via phone immediately following that text message introduction. Additional matches may trickle in on a rolling basis as MyAgentFinder confirms them.
Although MyAgentFinder’s initial text outreach appears to be fully automated, actual customer service reps do step in to support as the process progresses.
Our MyAgentFinder reps checked in with us and responded to feedback quickly. They even found us additional matches when we expressed concern that one of our matches wasn’t close enough to the area we had indicated was our target market.
How much does MyAgentFinder cost?
MyAgentFinder’s agent matching service is 100% free to use. The truth is that all agent matching services are free for buyers and sellers, so this isn’t a unique benefit.
It’s important to note that, while the matching service is free, the agents themselves are not. When you find your agent through MyAgentFinder, sellers will likely still have to pay the full realtor commission fee at closing. Rates vary, but 5-6% of the final sale price is typical nationwide.

We found a number of MyAgentFinder reviews agreeing that the company provides fast service.

Like most agent matching services, MyAgentFinder is easy to use and much faster than finding an agent on your own. Signing up was quick and simple, and our mystery shoppers didn’t experience any major confusion or sticking points throughout the process.

Though MyAgentFinder’s initial communication with our mystery shoppers appeared to be 100% automated, the subsequent outreach seemed to come from a real person.
The MyAgentFinder representatives were responsive to our questions and requests via text during normal business hours. They reached out proactively several times to check in on our progress.
MyAgentFinder reviews agree that its representatives are helpful and communicative.
We couldn’t find any information online about the qualifications of MyAgentFinder’s customer service team. Some companies have strict requirements for concierges. For example, every member of Clever Real Estate’s customer service team is a licensed real estate agent.
⚠️ Quality of agents and matches was mixed
Since MyAgentFinder doesn’t share any information about its agent vetting process, our mystery shoppers decided to do a little digging. We found that agents are able to join the MyAgentFinder network by providing only their name, license number, and contact information.
The MyAgentFinder vetting process is “self-guided,” which means the company does not actually speak to new agents or confirm their credentials.
Given the absence of screening, it’s no surprise that the quality of agents in MyAgentFinder’s network varies widely. For example, some customer reviews indicate a lackluster experience with the agent they found through its matching service.
Other MyAgentFinder customers were happy with their agent and the quality of service provided.
Echoing this, our mystery shoppers found the quality of their agent matches to be irregular. While some were from major brokerages like eXp and Intero, others were from local mom-and-pop companies.
Most agents we were matched with reached out right away via phone, text, and email — others never reached out at all.
Additionally, our shoppers noted that outside of major metropolitan areas, the agent matches weren’t necessarily close by. For instance, one of our buyers was matched with an agent an hour’s drive away. Shoppers living in suburbs of major cities were often matched with agents located in the cities rather than in their suburban towns.
It’s worth noting that when we asked MyAgentFinder if they had agents in a specific town, they did find a new agent with whom to connect us. But even though the agent had an office in the town, his Zillow profile showed he had never closed a deal in the area.
⚠️ Technology was lacking compared to competitors
MyAgentFinder’s sign-up process is relatively straightforward, but its technology and communications are lacking compared to some of its top competitors.
MyAgentFinder only communicates via text message. If you prefer to use a landline or email, you’re out of luck.
Moreover, many agent matching services offer a customer dashboard where you can log in to view your matches, learn about their backgrounds, and track communications.
MyAgentFinder doesn’t have a customer dashboard, so you’ll need to keep track of your agent matches and communications on your own. It also doesn’t provide any information about your matches beyond their name and contact details.
If you’re interested in learning more about an agent MyAgentFinder matches you with, that’s research you’ll have to do on your own. This seems a bit counterintuitive, since the key benefit of any agent matching services is, at least in theory, saving customers time and effort when they’re looking for a realtor.

⛔ No built-in commission savings for customers
MyAgentFinder does not provide any kind of commission savings for its customers. Other companies, like our friends at Clever Real Estate, offer the same free agent matching service AND built-in commission discounts for customers.
Clever pre-negotiates low rates with its agents on your behalf. When you sell your with Clever, you’ll pay a 1% listing fee — or $3,000 on sales less than $350,000 — as opposed to the typical 3% listing fee rate. Clever offers built-in savings for buyers, too. If your purchase qualifies, you could get 0.5% cash back after closing.
⛔ Misleading claims on website
The MyAgentFinder homepage says its customer service team is available to help 24/7. However, when our mystery shoppers called them during normal business hours, they never answered their phone.
Our shoppers also reached out to MyAgentFinder representatives with questions via phone and text at 7:30 p.m. PDT. The phone went unanswered and their reps did not reply to the text until the following morning.
A message on MyAgentFinder’s phone system indicates they are only available from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. PDT Monday through Friday. That’s not quite 24/7!
⛔ Lack of transparency about agent matching criteria
MyAgentFinder’s overall lack of transparency, combined with some misleading claims about its service, led us to the conclusion that it may be a riskier option than some of its top competitors.
The MyAgentFinder website provides very little information about the company. It’s not forthcoming about the way it operates, how matches are qualified, or how it vets agents.
In contrast, many of its competitors are very open about these things and list agent qualifications and matching criteria clearly on their websites.
When our mystery shoppers were matched with agents, MyAgentFinder provided no information beyond the agent’s name, email address, and telephone number.
Most competitive services include background information on the agents they match you with, such as a link to their Zillow profile, recent sales stats, and more. If you want to know anything about the agents provided by MyAgentFinder, you’ll have to do that research yourself.
